What Sets Our Elopements Apart

Permit Guidance

Special Use Ceremony Permit ($150):

  1. We will submit your permit application and ensure your desired location is approved.

Mandatory:The National Park Service (NPS) requires a $150 Special Use Permit for all wedding or vow exchange ceremonies held within park boundaries, regardless of party size.

Timeline:Applications open up to 1 year in advance and must be submitted at least 21 to 30 days prior to the date.

Ceremony vs. Portraits:The actual vow exchange must occur at one of Yosemite’s 13+ designated ceremony locations (e.g., Taft Point, Glacier Point, Cathedral Beach, Lower Yosemite Fall Trail).

  2. Unlimited Portrait Rule:

    • Once vows are completed at your designated permit site, couples can move anywhere in the park accessible to the public for couples' portraits and video coverage without needing separate permits for each spot.

  3. Park Regulations (Leave No Trace):

    • Drones, live/invasive florals (e.g., baby’s breath), arches, chairs, throwables (confetti/petals), and amplified sound are strictly prohibited.
